WHAT IS THE STEM CONFERENCE?
Shaping the scientists of tomorrow (again).By attending the conference, students will get the chance to explore various STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, encouraging them to build a love for STEM and consider a future career in a STEM field. The 4.5 hour long conference will give students the chance to do activities in various STEM fields and hear from professionals in these fields. WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD LEARN?
Teaching & Fostering a Love of STEM CareersThrough the program, children will have the opportunity to learn about potential careers and areas of study in STEM from experts in these fields. The program will address 6 distinct areas of STEM; Engineering, Medicine, Chemistry, Entrepreneurship and Invention, Space, and Computer Science; through a unique rotation-style classroom setting, almost like a school day. The program will also include a class highlighting the opportunities for STEM learning and extracurriculars at Oliver Ames.
